TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch
TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
